We were in Valparaiso for three nights, and we could have...
We were in Valparaiso for three nights, and we could have spent more time looking over the city. We took a trip around the area in the rental car, and with more time, we could have revisited some of the interesting places we drove through. There is a lot to see along the coast. We found good coffee and tasty food being served at Tallers Cafe, and could have made it our local. Valparaiso is bohemian in a rough way, great to stroll around Cerro Alegre and concepcion for a couple of days. A constant smell of human urine and dog shit. ( not so bad in the 2 Cerros mentioned but the rest ....;(.....the lower part of the city is an example when a city is left to decay. The room was big and comfortable, as was the bed. It was beautifully furnished and decorated like all of the hotel. There are spaces to sit and enjoy the place, inside and out on the big terrace. Good views down and across the valley. Good breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Parking is a short step away in a secure location.
