Fenghuang is really nice.
Fenghuang is really nice. We've traveled a lot around China and people have been very friendly. One aspect of Fenghuang that we like was that it doesn't seem to get many western tourists nor has it changed to accommodate them --- for the better. The tourist maps tend to be in Chinese (only) which works but travelers should try to have some level of awareness of what to see and do --- that said, it's really nice just wandering the streets and alley ways without much of a plan.Guest review byKyleUnited States

He told us to pass his number to the taxi driver for them to call him, and then told the taxi driver where to drop us off. He picked us up from the dropoff point and took us to his hotel. He gave us a detailed map of the city with instructions on all the places to visit, and a free room upgrade. The real standout was their service: arranged a hotel car to collect us from the station and provided dedicated transfers to the local sights.
