Entering the forest park from this gate doesn't require queuing, which is a very nice experience. There are mountains and water, and even tandem bicycles to ride. The Chinese meals at the homestay are also excellent. A paradise for children, the pool is large and clean, and there’s a nearby stream for walking and catching fish. I had done research into how to navigate the Zhangjiajie National Park but was still confused until Jack gave us a route...which worked a breeze and resulted in us having a stress free day in the park. I cannot stress enough how staying at the western gate is the answer to not meeting the crowds of people. Highly recommend staying here.
