Each day started with a nice breakfast, which included fruits, coffee, juice, salchichon and other items. Mr. Owens and his staff were very attentive to our needs. They were also very friendly. We were invited to Christmas dinner, and that was a wonderful experience. The property has a beautiful garden. The place where we stayed was fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The Terraza B & B is a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend you consider visiting it. My husband and I are looking forward to returning there next summer.

This is a place you have to see if you ho to Poa Area. The best accomodation we ve experienced so far in CR. It has a little Mullholland Drive feeling when you see the night come down and all these lights in the valley shine into these huge windows across the balcony. Kids didn‘t want to leave. Renate is the perfect host. She organized our taxi, which we need at 1am from the airport to the hotel, our car pickup the next day and kindly drove us back to the airport at 6 am 3 weeks later. Lovely garden and beautiful sunsets. Also nice to relax at the pool. Quiet and pleasant temperature up in the hills, but close to the airport.

We booked a night at Serenity by nature a couple of hours before getting there due to no response from the place we had booked. They responded straight away and were keen to help us plan our stay there. On arrival, we felt very welcomed by the staff and Armando has been so friendly to us. The breakfast with eggs and marmalade from the property was delicious. We really enjoyed the beautiful, calm surroundings to finish off our trip to Costa Rica and head to the nearby airport. Many thanks Armando and the staff of Serenity by nature for the pleasant time with you.

Grecia is a wonderful little town.

Grecia is a wonderful little town. I was here to find a new home so I was looking throughout the area and visited Atenas and Naranjo as well. We decided on a place near Naranjo. In Grecia I ate at several local Sodas which were fantastic and a more upscale restaurant called Bariles which was fantastic. POPs ice cream shop is also highly recommended. In Atenas I ate at a really good Italian restaurant called Firenze. The Pasta Puttanesca was cooked to perfection. When driving watch for motorcycles.

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea...

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea for CR. High population density, loud, lots of traffic. The main town square, around the park and church, isn't as peaceful as other CR towns and there were numerous panhandlers. We didn't find any stores or places to eat worth mentioning.

Grecia is a very good base to visit the area. Very clean, and reasonable priced. We took the local bus everywhere and it was very doable. Also you can find a lots of tours, or a local can drive you at a very reasonable price.

The people are very cordial and helpful.

The people are very cordial and helpful. The town has most of the amenities that one would look for in a foreign country. We enjoyed eating at Cafe Delicias #1. We were able to navigate in a car after we discovered the one way streets and the parking rules. We are not young people, I am 82 and my wife is 78. We are looking forward to spending at least 6 months next year living in the area.

Grecia was not as expected from literature I read because of it's size and amount of traffic. The main down town area was very busy with bad sidewalks which made walking the town difficult. Lovely cathedral and park and great restaurants. Local people were friendly and helpful. We ate at Los Barriles twice because the food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. La Terraza Bed & Breakfast was the nicest hotel we stayed at in the Grecia area.

I like the fact that they cared about their clients, attention to details, perfect communication. the hotel is managed by an American with a small team is locals, which would probably explain the service. we felt welcomed and safe! they did our laundry and we were able to pay with a credit card. it costed us 15$ breakfast was good too! it takes them a bit of time to prepare but everything is fresh. if you’re in a rush plan your time wisely.

The hotel is very lovely. It is clean with a nice little kitchen in the room. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was really nice. And in the morning you can hear all the birds in the trees surrounding the hotel rooms. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there.
