Beautiful inn-style hotel in Cochem. Everything is spotless clean. Very very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very tasty. Staff so friendly. Old building but the bathroom and bedroom are furnished with modern furniture. Gorgeous view on the top floor of a part of the river and the Reichsburg castle on the hill.

We stayed in room 11 for one night. We selected this hotel because it had a great view - across the Cochem Castle. We were able to take great pictures of the Castle during day and night. Checkin was easy and fast. Staff are super friendly. Room 11 needs two flight of stairs up, so might be difficult for elderly. Room itself has a comfy bed. The windows open up fully - very helpful on a very warm day. A small parking lot was available next to the hotel. If it’s booked, there is paid parking spots nearby. Breakfast was included in our rate and it had great variety such as eggs, ham, fresh bread, muffins, cheese, etc. each table was assigned to a room - which was great! Walk to the old town was about 10-15 min. If you need more snacks and drinks, there is also an Aldi and Rewe about 5 min car ride/ 25 min walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel for the location and friendly staff!

We stayed in Cochem for 3 days to get over jet lag before our Rick Steves tour. Reichsburg Cochem is the castle owned by the town, and it's worth the walk, the views and tour of the castle, which are available in English or German. A lovely small town with character, lots of restaurants and shops. It's also easy to head up to Rick Steves' favorite castle Burg Elz, via short train to Moselkern or by ferry. The town is compact, so it was easy to catch a train to the start of our next tour.

Beautiful little town. A must see castle.

Beautiful little town. A must see castle. The boat ride was disappointing. A recording in English with the town history would have been nice as this is a tourist attraction. So we found this a waste of money. Train stop close. Good wine! Restaurants close early for dinner.

A lovely town , compact and easy to get around.

A lovely town , compact and easy to get around. Lots to see and do and the local community are friendly. Be prepared for busy season with coach tours. We visited in early October and missed the crowds. The Hieronimi wine cellar ( not to be confused with the hotel of the same name), does an excellent 8 glass wine tasting. Incredibly informative and entertaining. The location is also great for days out by train access to other locations such as Koblenz.

Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river.

Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river. The river walking and biking paths are scenic. The one hour river boat tour is a nice way to see the vineyards. The shops are nice. The castle is nice to walk up to and see the views of Cochem. One can rent an ebike to ride along the river pathways or one can jog or walk along the river pathways. There are also hiking trails in Cochem.

Perfect location, not far from the city centre and a bus goes by every approximately 20 minutes. Very quiet and there is a small river that passes exactly next to the hotel so you can hear the water! The staff is very friendly and polite. The breakfast is everything a person needs. Basic, simple and tasty ( especially the handmade marmelades). Very old school wood decoration, totally my taste. When i ll visit cochem again i would love to come back here. I recommend this pretty place!

The location is excellent - on the Mosel River and right in the heart of everything Cochem. The women (don't know her name) who checked us in was lovely and went out of her way to ensure we were looked after. The hotel is very quaint, with a balcony allowing us to appreciate the stunning view, and a comfortable, spacious bed making our stay wonderful. Breakfast was fresh and had a good choice too.
