Annette and Uwe are amazing hosts—friendly, attentive, flexible, and full of insights and tips about the region and what to visit. The suggested hike to Beyenburg became the highlight of our trip, and we definitely won't forget the exclusive tour of the old brewery building. Our room was modern and spacious with plenty of natural light, and we felt immediately at home. The woodwork, handcrafted by our hosts, really set the room apart. The shared kitchen was a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, have dinner, or simply relax in the evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the town of Schwelm: it has a charming pedestrian zone with many restaurants and bakeries. The Schwelm train station, just a couple of minutes from the guesthouse, offers direct trains to Wuppertal Hbf (10 mins) and Düsseldorf (30 mins). It's only 3 minutes to Wuppertal Oberbarmen, where you can switch to the magnificent Schwebebahn.

Modern, comfortable, clean room with an excellent view overlooking of the town of Wetter, the Ruhr river and surrounding area. Room was updated to modern amenities and efficiency housed in an old world post medieval castle lodge-like setting, nesteled on a hillside. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices in the charactaristic European style. Our dinners on two occasions were exceptional in presentation, taste and quality, while the staff was professional, attentive and courteous in providing their services. We were impressed at the genuinely personal service we received from the reception staff and from the owner himself, Mr. Vorberg who personally saw to our needs and to those of other hotel guests. This location meets the highest of standards in the hospitality industry in a charming setting full of old world character.

The room was spacious and modern and very clean. Bathroom is a nice large size and the shower has plenty of space to. Tea service in the room. WiFi/internet was high speed. The hotel has a restaurant, the food is great . A really grood menu. Sadly the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

We booked the hotel to go in Dortmund to watch a match and it was easy to reach by car (about 25 minutes). The hotel had free parking on its property. We booked two double rooms and both couples had the same opinion for the stay, clean, quiet and what we needed to recharge our batteries.

The location was very convenient for us and, although on the main street of Gevelsberg, the property was quiet and peaceful. The owners gave us a friendly welcome and had obviously put a lot of effort into decorating the apartment nicely, which we appreciated.
