If you do not speak German, Gießen is not probably the best...
If you do not speak German, Gießen is not probably the best option. You might have several limits in comunication, starting with the trains to reach it. It is a town, with a few historical buildings (the war destroyed everything) and lots of waste around, with bad smells. I appreciated the University buildings (they are spread around the city), the parks, the botanical garden. There where other people staying at same accommodation who had the same problem a few days before but couldn’t help us as they also did not have any additional contact details.
