It was a nice stay. The hotel is situated about 15 minutes on foot away from Dom and just across the street there is a Karstadt center and a big parking. After 7 p.m. and the whole day on Sunday you do not need to pay for a public parking slots along the street. 10 euro per hour is the price for 1 additional hour of late-check-out (up to 3 hours)

Residenz Joop is located in a beautiful villa area, at walking distance from the center of Magdeburg. We were travelling with our dog and made a pre-arrangement with the hotel to take our four-legged friend with us, which was absolutely no problem. Public parking in the streets near the hotel was generally not a problem (however, don´t forget the mandatory green badge for the applicable low emission zone). We would highly recommend Residenz Joop for a stay in Magdeburg.

Excellent city, lots of places to see, very spacious, easy to get around, taxis outside the main station, including trams, a wide variety of foods, Lebanese, Syrian, English, Dutch, German, Indian, & many more. Worth a visit.

Beautiful and a nice place to hang around.

Beautiful and a nice place to hang around. I cycled along the river Elbe, and took lots of photos of the city. The weather was good, with sun shine and blue sky, so the view was perfect. I suggest people can walk/cycle along the river, from Cathedral to Jahrtausendturm, just be enjoy the cozy. The Cathedral has a total different view b/w days and nights, so go there twice!

Great, quiet location on a residential street a short distance from the motorway. The apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable. It was perfect for an overnight stay after a long journey; if we had the time I would also imagine that it would have been an excellent base from which to explore Magdeburg.

The hotel is far, but that's ok if you know beforehand. It's a quiet and chill place, so nothing to worry about. They don't know much English, but the ladies in the restaurant were super friendly and nice. Furthermore, it was the only hotel in Germany that offered a crib for our baby.
