Spitzhaus is simply wonderful! Beautiful on the outside and the inside, with very friendly and helpful staff and owners. You can really tell this is a family owned and run business. The food Ia exquisite, the wines are local and so well chosen. The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant. The rooms spacious and comfortable. We loved this place and will be back!

It was beyond white glove service each and every morning, starting with a smile to greet you and offer you the most relaxed environment and easy way to wake up. The property is pretty and quite new. One of the owners was nice enough to welcome us from the parking lot. They don’t have a lot of rooms, but each room is big and newly renovated so it’s perfect for people who don’t like crowds. The room was quite comfortable although I do wonder how it would be in summer because I didn’t notice air conditioning - our room had sound proof windows but when the window was opened, it got pretty loud. We could hear everything happening on the road. If you’re visiting Schloss Wackerbarth - this is the hotel that brings you the closest to the winery so you actually get crazy drunk and not have to worry about crawling back to your room cause it’s pretty close.

    Beautiful castle and nice walking to the lighthouse on the lake. The town is small with beautifull "allee" to the castle. No problem with parking. There are some good restaurants and everything is close. Also Missen is close and nice to visit.
