We could really relax while traveling with our dog at this hotel: a real find! Particularry the grounds offered a stunnig back garden and lovely bear garden in the front. Breakfast was excellent and in general a very confortable and friendly German experience.

Space for breakfast was limited so the hotel asked guests to choose a time "slot". This worked well. The location was delightful - beside a small, tree-lined square on which a cafe and two bars served food and drinks to (mostly) locals. The weather was good, so we walked everywhere.

The hotel is gorgeous! The location is fantastic. the ambience, decoration and atmosphere is wonderful. I cannot say enough how much we loved our stay. Sigrit, our host, was extremely helpful, accomodating and friendly. The room was light and decorated tastefully and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. the shower was hot and clean. all was great. breakfast was delicious. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the cold spread including fresh fruit and yoghurt, nuts, cold meats, cheeses and salad were very good. I recommend this small personal hotel to everyone who enjoys the good things in life!

Beautifully fitted out and decorated common area and rooms. The suite I booked turned out to be bigger than I expected, and more importantly is very cozy and comfortable, especially the bed. The suite also has balcony with a stunning view of the river and Hiedelberg's old town from across the river. It even has a gym and an outdoor jacuzzi with lovely views located at the higher elevation of the hotel backyard. Because the property is located across the river from the old town, generally it is quieter as it is away from the hustle & bustle of the tourists. Nevertheless, it is only 5 minutes away on foot from the main bridge that gets you to the old town. The staff are genuinely friendly & informative - Luca is very efficient & accommodative, while Sofie is always welcoming. They kindly arranged for a pick-up from another small village I was at prior to the stay and the arrangement was hassle-free.

We stayed as an alternative to Heidelberg. We brought bikes with us and cycled to Heidelberg instead. There's a lovely cycle route via Dossenheim through the vineyards which is really pretty and traffic free. Although the hotel is at the very edge of the village and uphill it's not very steep and was easily manageable on the bikes.

A nice room with a good shower. The beds were a bit hard, specially the 3rd bed but of course this depends on what you prefer. No airconditioning but a fan and we slept well. They told us we had a view on the garden, this wasn't exactly like that. We looked at the building on the other side. The rooms are good isolated. Travelling from the Netherlands it was a perfect place to stop and very near the highway plus a benzinstation in the place near the hotel when you drive up to the highway. I

Facilities were good for self-catering. Bakery right across the road. Apartment was comfortable. Two toilets and two bathrooms were appreciated for five adults! Staff was helpful. The streets are narrow and do not allow parking, but there is a free car park nearby for any length of stay. Heidelberg is very close (12km) but Schriesheim is worth exploring - we didn't manage to get to the castle that we could see from the windows!

Beautiful location Really lovely hotel - it is quaint and beautiful. We loved the old-fashioned style of the hotel and personal touches- it is honestly one of the best hotels we've stayed in because it was original. Sometimes the new modern hotels are not as homely as this hotel. The room was so comfortable and the beds were fantastic. Good breakfast to start the day.

We went with two dogs and were welcomed. They gave us a wonderful room with a nice and green view. The room is new and well ventilated. The people who prepare the breakfast are really nice and friendly. We wanted to go to Heidelberg, but also wanted to go to a green area because of the dogs. The hotel has a forest in the back. We definitely recommend this hotel!
