Ayampe is a quiet and extremely safe location. It is next to the Colibri trail which is one of the best birdwatching locations in Ecuador. It is located at a beautiful beach which is not very touristy. Ayampe also is the perfect location if you are looking for something relaxed. The hotel with Anabel and Franziska is so great. They were so friendly and helped us organize some stuff (travel, surfing lessions etc). We felt very welcome and would definitly recommend it to everyone. The rooms are pretty and very clean. The layout of the space is great; the kitchen is well-stocked and a nice bonus! Also the terrace is very peaceful. Extremely comfortable bed, hot & cold shower and tastefully decorated.
