One of the niciest hotel we've been to. The hotel have everything you need. The room is very big and comfortable, the bathroom is also very big and nice equiped. The balcony is exceptional and the view from balcony is on the pool area and on the port. We decided to stay in Mataro and to visit Barcelona. The hotel is right on the Mataro port and right on the beach. Along the beach, next to the hotel, there's a lot of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy. The swimming beach is 5 min away from the hotel. The hotel is next to the train station, and you can get to Barcelona ( center of Barcelona) in 40minutes. You are traveling with the train along the beaches, and it's very beautiful trip to see. You can get from the train on every station and you are right on the beach. We also visit and Mataro city and it's very nice Spanish small city. There's a lot of free parking next to the hotel, but sometimes is crowded so you'll need to wait for the place. The hotel also have their private parking. We recommend this hotel and we will be back for sure.

The service, very helpful. We were travelling with our dog. They provided a doggy bag, with presents for the dog. Very nice touch, it’s never happened to us in many years of travelling with our dog.

Characterful, charming building. Our room was elegant, traditional and charmingly furnished. Bathroom was very well equipped with an amazing shower. Breakfast was continental style with lovely bread, ham and cheeses. Lots of fresh fruit as well. Delightful, well maintained gardens with a large swimming pool which was heaven when the temperature reached 35 degrees. The owner and his wife went over and above our expectations when my husband wanted to watch the ladies World Cup final. A television appeared and was duly set up for him. Very much appreciated as you can imagine.

The house is not in Argentona, about 10/15 minute drive out.

The house is not in Argentona, about 10/15 minute drive out. Argentona is basic, very Spanish & bit shabby, parking is not easy. It's not a pretty place. It has some shops but never seemed open, a couple of Pharmacies (which I desperately needed for dreadful mozzie bites!) but not much else there. The few restaurants there are never seemed open and the only occasion we saw one open, it was all locals, no tourists so would have been a bit awkward going in them. There is a lovely bakery there tho, fab bread. No supermarkets, you have to drive to Mataro
