Mahon is a lovely town where you can actually do loads of walking and if you're feeling adventurous you can go for a swim South of the port, which is about 20 minutes away on foot. Quite a few different places to eat and with a bus station serving all parts of the island with a visit to Ciutadella definitely worth your time. Met quite a few people that were using the town as a one-night stopped as part of some kind of food race or alternatively getting on a bus to somewhere and then walking along the coast and getting the bus back. If you like some technical and testing mountain biking it's definitely worth hiring a mountain bike for the day and hit one of the coast line tracks which are impressive but hard work.Guest review byEduardoUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Mahon is quite a small town perched on top of the cliff with attractive roads and footpaths down to the waterside. The historic centre has good shops and restaurants and the restaurant along the waterside are numerous and very good. we may have been out of season, but all along the harbour there were plenty of shops and restaurants, that never seemed to open or would only open for a few hours and then shut for the rest of the week. we should have gone to Es Castell, nice little harbour. Town is a lovely walk along the harbour and then take the lift up otherwise its a long hike up the steps or slopes. Town is limited in things to do. the markets are nice and interesting, for a bit, and you can only drink so much coffee, beer or Gin! you could complete in a day. the bus station is good and easy to use once you find it!Guest review bypaulUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Very unfriendly staff (except for some exceptions , for example receptionist and Italian barmaid very nice). The rest were kind of aggressive and unhelpful. Especially in the Spa ! If (like me) you chose this property for the spa... Don`t go! Either you won`t be able to access it or you will be left out in the cold with your young daughter , like it happened to me. The bathroom was a lovely size and the shower was fabulous. We really liked the green toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, there was plenty of choice of hot and cold options. I also liked that the emphasis was on locally produced products. There was no excess packaging for butter or yogurt pots. The hotel location was lovely with a wonderful view of the Port of Mahon and in easy walking distance of the port And old town.
