This was such a good stay for me while doing the Camino. The owner was really hospitable and the property was huge, great for relaxing after a tiring day of walking. It was also clean and has laundry and dryer for the clothes. I would recommend.

On Camino trail. All necessary supplies provided. Lovely hostess greeted us, within 5 minutes of arrival. She explained everything —washer (with laundry detergent), dryer, wifi. She provided video of way down through a couple of streets and sets of stairs, to the restaurants still open in late September. Showered with provided shampoo, soap, conditioner. Lovely to have two sinks in Unit, two garbage pails, fridge. Iron, microwave.

The visitors center was a pleasant experience.

The visitors center was a pleasant experience. We were given a map of the town and the top sites to see if you had the time. We walked through their main park and had hoped to walk to the beach that was one of their top attractions. Beautiful plants and birds nested in the marsh areas, and even though we didn't walk far enough to get to the beach we loved the nature that was there at the inlet.

The only thing that disappointed me in Redondela, was a nearby restaurant "Casa Chano Restaurante". My son and I were very hungry and we were hoping for a "Pilgrim Menu". We walked in this restaurant and we were bowled over by the impeccable service. The lady even brought us complimentary empanadas. It seemed that two of the waiters spoke English. I was going for a fish dish that was under 15 Euros and my son had calamari that was reasonable. Well, they were out of the fish, so I pointed to a meat item. The large portion for a group is 35 Euro. The waiter said that I could have an individual portion for 12.50 euro. I was fine with that. We each had a beer and a flan for a dessert. I wanted to pay the bill so I gave my credit card and I was so pleased with the service that I gave $15 American dollars for a tip. One of the waiters who spoke English ran my card and it was not until I got back to my room that I had noticed that the bill was for 58 Euros. I was charged 35 Euros for the meat dish. I was flabbergasted as we were on a limited budget. I really felt it was only one person there because everyone else was exceptional. However, it did leave a sour taste.

Most amazing host Augusto, met us at the door, took us into the share apartment and explained everything so well. A total of 4 couples can share this apartment (which used to be his Grandmother’s). The apartment has two bathrooms and plenty of room, you do not feel cramped. The apartment has been kept in his Grandmother’s style (older furniture) but it is spotlessly clean. Right in the Centre of Redondela. He even supplied a foot treatment for all the guests after a long day on the Camino Portuguese.

Warmly welcomed by owner Manuel who very enthusiastically showed us round his lovely, spacious home. Excellent facilities and very comfortable beds. Very central location for our group of six females doing the Portuguese camino. Manuel was very informative regarding advice for nice restaurants. Thanks for a lovely night's stay in Redondela 👍😊

Beautiful hotel next to camino Portuguese trail. Rooms are nicely renovated in modern farm style. The common space is large and designed in such a way that you can feel like in a real Spanish casa. Well equipped kitchen with food and drinks available at a reasonable price. Super helpful host, spreading positive vibes.
