The beaches were good and the location next to other cities like Menton, Monte Carlo, and Nice were great. The town itself was not amongst our favorites. Trying to park early in the morning at the bakery was legally impossible. Even worse in the evening for dinner. My favorite story lol. On our first morning I looked at Google to find out the opening times for the bakery was 7:00 am, cool!! I arrived at 7:34 and the shelves were completly bare, save for a few sandwiches (which were quite good). It's right beside Monaco so access is easy, but visiting once is more than enough, it's a headache to get around this place. Even with GPS is easy to get lost. It is a small resort village on a steep slope over the sea.
It is a small resort village on a steep slope over the sea. The only beach in town (beach Mala) requires walking down and then climbing up for 10-15 minutes from the village center and 16-20 minutes from the top. It is an effort, and the beach is beautiful. Hotel Normandy is charming and evokes the spirit of the Côte d'Azur. We selected a room with a balcony and shutters that overlooked the ocean and with the option to enjoy the sea breeze and aircon we were very comfortable. Although we opted not to have breakfast the charming staff on duty in the morning made a wonderful coffee which we enjoyed in our room looking out towards the mediterranean sea in its all its dreamy azure glory.Guest review byGeorginaAustralia
