It's such a beautiful town.
It's such a beautiful town. One stop away from Disney and 45 minutes away from Paris by train. Very clean and we felt safe there. People were friendly and helpful despite my poor French. August 2024 - loads of new developments around the town, and Euro-Disney is one station away on the RER. RER prices were double the usual rate during August 2024, probably due to the Olympic games. Carnet of 10 RER single tickets was 40 euros. Ouch. Car park at Euro-Disney was 30 Euros for a day visit. Pay your money take your choice. It is possible to walk to Euro-Disney from Montevrain in 30-45 minutes. Val d'Europe shopping mall and grocery stores like Aldi and LeClerc very convenient. The area is essentially a very recent development - I would guess it's all been built in the last 20-30 years, maybe even more recently. It's very much a suburb, with a few office blocks and lots of blocks of apartments. Well-spaced, with green spaces around. Quite car-oriented, although with a station on the RER A line. There are a couple of significant commercial areas, including a large retail park with hyperstore and eating places.
