We were two couples, and had two double rooms. Both were tastefully decorated and confortable. We had a car and a car park where we could securely leave our car overnight was nice.

Staff were very helpful. It was Valentine's Day and the restaurant next door could not accommodate us for an evening meal, the lady on the reception desk very kindly phoned another local restaurant and secured us a table.

Lovely hotel. Great welcome from Reception, excellent service in the restaurant, both in the evening and in the morning. Our dog was welcome everywhere, especially in the hotel gardens! The bed was comfortable and we were right on the edge of the Old Town of Angoulême.

We had an upgrade free of charge, and our building had a nice view of the city. Reception staff was super helpful to provide us a map and suggest us some activities for a short day trip.
