Don't bother reading the negative reviews. This apartment rental was absolutely amazing. My family (wife and 2 kids) absolutely loved it. The kitchen was well furnished, the bedroom was comfy and RIGHT ON THE BEACH! The windows were open the entire time we were there to listen to the ocean waves. The kitchen has a washer for your clothes as well. The washer helped tremendously. We could've stayed a whole week if we had the time! We ate at the apartment every night and there is a market that sells food and essentials (COCCI MARKET) thats a 2 min drive. Parking is directly in front of the residence on the beach. Again, this was an amazing place and thank you for your hospitality!

If you like different , you will love this. A wonderful old Rivermill , owned by a fabulous couple, in a French countryside setting only minutes from Omaha Beach. Ducks, chickens,sheep and an Alpaca even! The place is old and creaky, with a narrow staircase leading upstairs to a fantastic room to spend a few days in. We spent a couple of evenings chatting with Bernard and Maryanne ( hope I got spelling right) around the fire sharing tales of our travels with them. If you want five star accommodation don’t book this, but if you want a Five star experience then this is for you.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The common kitchen area offered refrigerator and oven as well as teas and hot water kettle. Parking was easy and outside terrace was great if we had been there during the day. Breakfast was wonderful and prepared to order eggs in a b&B setting.

It's an excellent beach, but suffers from too many WW2 tourists. We understand why they are there, and have feelings from history and its tragedies. But perhaps after 80 years, there is no need to make a touristic business about it, and the people whose families have been associated with the area for much longer can be allowed to get their lives back without disturbances. Vierville has been there for much longer the the mid 20th century!

Close to everything and still tranquil. A best kept secret. Make sure to check out the little trailer that sells crepes. Excellent crepes! Only drawback is there isn’t a Boulanger. So make sure to get you bread in another nearby town before arriving.

In Vierville-sur-mer you could walk al day if you wanted.

In Vierville-sur-mer you could walk al day if you wanted. You can walk on the beach, to the different monuments. You have a nice restaurant close to the momument on Omaha beach. The food there was the best. you could eat everything. you had fish, seafruits, steak, hamburgers,... In the city itself you could get easely around by car and on foot. I would recomend to take a raincoat because the wether can be a bit unpredictable.

You can't fault the location if you want to visit Omaha Beach because the hotel overlooks the beach. Free parking too (maybe not so available in peak periods). Staff were friendly. That's about it for the good points of the stay. It went downhill from then.

We liked everything about this hotel, perfect location, lovely staff, rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with cracking views. Dining options were excellent. Lockable place for our expensive road bikes
