We used taxis for most of our travels although a train station is not very far. Up the road from The Bebington, we went to a Pub called the Sizzling part of the Acorn. Good food great atmosphere. In a nutshell if you wish for a budget B&B in a decent location then this maybe for you. I just needed an overnight stay to rest up before travelling again on the following day. Breakfast is included (as I left early I missed this). Decent Wifi & you have access to shared lounge with large TV. Space on grounds for parking. The breakfast was great - tasty and ample. Set you up for the day. Loved the bed - big and comfy. Also, the room was not cluttered; it was very spacious, but had all the essentials. The owner/s were so friendly, willing to talk and give information about the area. Surpasses all standards for the market it is in which is the world of good B&B The only reason it doesn't get ten stars, is that I couldn't in good conscience rate it as highly as some of the world class hotels I have stayed in, (having hotel in the title.) If you're looking for a great B&B on the Wrral peninsular however...look no further. These guys are hard to beat in that market. Jo also gave us very useful information about the area and how to travel to both Liverpool and Chester. Breakfast was really good and get us going. Jo accommodated our request to have our breakfast packed as we had to leave early. The location of the hotel is great as it's only 5-10 minutes walk to the metro station. The area is nice and quite. It is also convenient for the local railway station with regular trains to Liverpool Lime Street and the city centre. Do not miss the excellent breakfast. It is a long walk to Prenton Park for a Tranmere Rovers home match.
