Had an issue with the key and Paul came very very quickly to sort us out. King size bed, ahhhhh. Lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. Excellent service and friendliness of all the staff. This is an amazing complex, Spa, Wedding venue, cottages, best Pub, The Apple Inn. Do make a reservation if you want to dine there, it's very popular.

I loved it. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was a short stay overnight as we were travelling onwards the next day. The house was beautiful, new, modern and tastefully decorated. Quiet. Good facilities including a spa and swimming pool which we didn’t get a chance to use. It looked like ex estate workers houses. Very near the coast. But only a mile to the main road North/South. So nice. Excellent standard throughout. Spacious. Warm and comfortable.

We were definately impressed with this accomodation. We booked as it was in easy reach to several tourist spots we wanted to visit and at a price we could afford. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean & comfortable, the area was quiet even though its situated next to the main A1 road. Very nice restaurant on site (the sea bream is one of the best we have tasted) with a cafe next door that is open to the early hours of the morning and a gas station open 24hrs. Great breakfast in the morning. Free parking and pet friendly. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cottage, clean and warm. Fully equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is spectacular, a few minutes drive to Bamburgh. Would love to return in the spring.

Belford is a very quiet village.

Belford is a very quiet village. Hasn't really anything to do apart from drink in a pub or cafe. There are no shops to speak of locally apart from a charity shop and post office. But it's a good base to explore the area. The pubs and cafe are good places to eat. We ate at the Blue Bell. I wouldn't stay at the Blue Bell again unless it had some money spent on the rooms

There was a village store in the centre and easy access to local beaches by car. Five well-known castles are also accessible by car all within half an hour - Alnwick, Warkworth, Chillingham, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh. Boat trips to see the seals and puffins are from Seahouses which is about 8 miles away.

The area was perfect and interesting lovely people The Belford Pharmacy were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. There was an art festival one weekend end in the market square which was brilliant the Steel Band was very good everyone enjoyed it.

We only went once to Belford itself, to pick up a parcel at...

We only went once to Belford itself, to pick up a parcel at the Co-op. we stayed in Lucker, a quiet village about 3 miles from the coast at Bamburgh. Lovely scenery both on the coast and inland, though you do need a car. We had a meal out at the Apple Inn in Lucker, and days out to Bamburgh and the coast, Berwick, Lindisfarne and Cragside.

Didn’t sped much time in Belford but it seemed a nice quiet place. Location was right for the attractions nearby. Lovely day out on Holy Island,and a boat trip to the Farne islands is recommended.

Perfect location for sightseeing. House was warm and cosy.

Perfect location for sightseeing. House was warm and cosy. Nice outdoor space for summer evenings. A bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and biscuits to go with a cup of tea a very nice touch. Spotlessly clean and everything you need for self catering. Parked right outside the cottage every day.

Great location for bamburgh seahouses berwick etc. Rooms are spotless and have great views across to the coast with bamburgh only 4 miles away. Food in restaurant and cafe excellent. Purdy lodge is on the A1 but you cannot hear traffic with all bedrooms at rear side of lodge/hotel. Great for overnight stop or for a week. Dog friendly too. Staff very professional and ready to help with any queries during your stay. Great beers on tap also. Wonderful breakfast and a great selection from menu for evening meal.

Multiple visits as we love the Lodge for privacy and yet close proximity to the Hotel for drinks and fabulous food. Great variety of choice on the menu with dishes all beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Leave room for all 3 courses if you can as it is well worth it! The bar has a really good local vibe and is dog friendly. Good variety of drinks too. Beautiful area only up the road from Bamburgh and Budle Bay! and amazing beaches.

This lovely, slightly faded splendour, provided us with a wonderful over night stay on our Northumberland Coastalpath walk. Excellent food, fabulous staff, comfy beds, spacious rooms. In need of a bit of tlc but overall tremendous value for money. We would definitely return.
