Chichester is a wonderful old city with Roman heritage.
Chichester is a wonderful old city with Roman heritage. It's well worth a visit exploring the old city walls, parks, gardens and cathedral. You can shop and dine at various levels of luxury, and there are often markets or live music performances in the streets. Further afield, just a short distance outside the city, are Fishbourne Roman Palace and Chichester harbour, lovely places to visit to get a better feel for the area. 2/3 days in the city will give you a wonderful orientation, and if theatre is your thing, see what's on at Chichester Festival Theatre one night of your visit.Guest review bySoniaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely city to spend a couple of nights.
Lovely city to spend a couple of nights. Ideal place to base yourself if you want to walk around Chichester harbour or get out into the South Downs. We enjoyed the venue offering Street Food on North Street. Mobile phone reception doesn't seem to have reached Chichester yet! At least not on our phones. Chichester is a beautiful city. Everything is within walking distance. Loads of beautiful walks, shops, buildings and places to eat. The cathedral is stunning, as is the gardens, and the markets were great. It's a very clean and friendly place. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review byCollette - 8.0

We used to live in Chichester and it is a lovely city, quite small and everything is based around the clock tower so well laid out. But like everywhere else, a lot of shops have closed and not been replaced or have been replaced with charity shops. I love Chichester.
I love Chichester. I go there for the theatre which is one of the best and always good for a summer musical. Apart from that, there is a beautiful cathedral, parks, a city wall for walks, a canal, many restaurants and pubs and great shops, especially the charity shops with exceptional clothes.
