Great location - close to the Cotswolds and Oxford, but better value accommodation. Lovely walk on the Thames path to Days lock. Dorchester has 3 pubs/hotels in a small village - the best is the White Hart for food, but The George and Fleur-de-lys also serve great food.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford. Pretty village with good pubs, corner shop and farm cafe. Comfy bed and very clean. Terrible shower and noise in the evening from the pub downstairs. Pub garden needs a tidy up.

A picturesque village with Dorchester Abbey right in the heart with services anyone can join in. The choir and music are wonderful. Beautiful walks alongside the Rivers Thame and Thames, and if you are a fan of Midsomer Murders you will be in your element, quite a few scenes have been filmed here, you can even go on a Midsomer Murder walk around the village. We will definitely return.

It is a lovely quiet village with some nice walks to do and also you can go further afield if you want to visit Oxford. We did a good walk to the nearby Lock and there was a coffee shop to visit on our return that served light lunches and cakes etc. We ate our main meals in 2 hotels and both places had a good selection to choose from and the food was lovely.

Dorchester-on-Thames is a nice quiet village away from main roads. It has a large abbey building and many pleasant walks in and outside the village, including to the river Thames itself, a mile or so to the West of the village.

Room was very cosy, lovely colours. Nespresso machine was a lovely touch and fresh milk was available. Toiletries in the bathroom and lovely fluffy towels. We stayed in the annexe but found the walls a bit thin, we could hear the Tv on in the room next door but apart from that a lovely stay. Breakfast was in abundance and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was tasty and very well presented. Excellent service, we were really looked after. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short getaway,

Great hotel, very friendly staff, great food and comfortable accommodation. They could not have done more for our dog. Would come back for another stay as it's a great location to explore the area and Dorchester is fab.

Excellent location with super views over the country and immediate access to one of the many walks around Dorchester on Thames. Also, easy access to the village itself where we were holding a music festival.

They have taken a beautiful old building and made it in to a beautiful boutique hotel. They have kept the character of the period and enhanced it for us all to enjoy.
