It was MAGICAL!! Sooo beautiful and cozy that I wished we had more time to extend our stay. The weather was perfect, the frost and the sound of nature was aesthetically pleasing. I can’t believe that I encountered a dear while walking from my hut towards the lodge! it was truly a beautiful experience. The land owner is super sweet as well and very helpful. 100% recommended.

Drumnadrochit is a lovely village next to Loch ness, there...

Drumnadrochit is a lovely village next to Loch ness, there are a few village shops and a couple of pubs. You can visit the Loch ness Centre, which tells you the history of the famous Loch ness Monster. I would also recommend booking a boat tour with Loch Ness Cruises in the Village. They take you out on the Loch with their boat the Nessy Hunter, which is very good. You also have Urquhart Castle down the road, I'd recommend getting the 919 bus, this will collect you from the bus stop by the Village green and take you straight to the castle. The Loch ness Inn is a good place for food or drink and does some lovely food. You also have access to some good woodland walks too.

I stayed overnight for work purposes and so I wasn't there for my own pleasure or recreation. That said. I've been through Drumnadrochit many a time and it has always been a quaint and enchanting little village with great scenery and excellent facilities. There's a few good pubs and places to eat as well as plenty of shops catering for the outdoor traveller along with the usual passing tourists. This is more of a stopover kind of place on the Great Glen Walk or the Loch Ness tourist trail and there is plenty here for the interest of most travellers.

A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart...

A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.

This is from previous experience as the hotel I stayed in was some distance outside. Drumnadrochit is a lovely little town and well worth stopping over for a night on your travels. The people are friendly and helpful and I have visited many times over the years and always found it pleasant.

Fab little village, friendly and welcoming.

Fab little village, friendly and welcoming. Great base for exploring the area. Just plan your evening meals as not much choice after 5pm. Everything Nessi related can be found here. Gift shops offer a great range. Plenty of forest/waterfall walks around the area as well.

We loved everything about the property. Our room 5 was on the first floor. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly and breakfast in the lovely restaurant area was delicious with both continental and al la carte cooked breakfast options. We also had a great dinner in the restaurant. The property is well located in a lovely village on Loch Ness and a short drive to Urquhart Castle. Onsite parking is a bonus.

A fabulous place set in peaceful surroundings with walks on the doorstep and handy for Drumnadrochit and local facilities and restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and attentive and we felt so relaxed and at home in this wonderful place. The unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again on the next trip to the highlands. Thanks Andrew and Holly!

It’s a bit quirky! They’ve upgraded rooms, we had a fabulous wallpaper of stags, foxes and rabbits. Our shower room was black and sparkly. Staff were great, food was really good. We will be back. One small observation - info in the room about the hotel facilities, times for bars/ restaurant etc was sparse. A page with all of that would be helpful. But that’s a minor comment.

Beautiful views over Loch Ness. Across the road from the ferry terminal, comfortable bed and beautiful rooms. Restaurant on site serves beautiful food and has yummy coffee all with gorgeous views of the loch.
