What an amazing place. We were stopping as part of a motorbike/driving tour across Scotland and this was the perfect first night. Super clean and tidy. Amazing facilities and plenty of utensils. The attention to detail from the owner was outstanding. The basket that was left was so thoughtful, the few cold drinks in the fridge were a godsend. We would 100% stay here again. Such good value for money. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Thank you so much!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The caravan site is really nice and has everything you need, restaurant, shop, pub. The caravan is spotlessly clean, and very comfy/cosy with great heating and a full kitchen. Check-in and out was easy. Especially liked the patio. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

A very homely BnB where we were made to feel very welcome! Our hosts treated us like part of the family and we felt so comfortable in their home. Our room was really comfortable with a lovely bed, hanging space, TV, kettle and tea & coffee supplies. The private bathroom was seperate to our bedroom but very clean. In the morning our host had provided a fantastic continental breakfast left right outside our door. Cereal, yoghurt, coffee, juice and croissants. We are bike packers and our host was really accommodating of our bicycles and locked them securely in his garden shed. The location was really quiet and an easy 15 minute walk into town.

Wasn't there for long as on a work trip. But did manage to take a stroll along the high street, which was full of independent businesses, which was great to see given the state of UK towns. Would have like to have spent a bit more time exploring the vicinity.

The weekend away was my son and his partner a gift for his 21st, they loved dunbar and thought it was a lovely place and the local food establishments were very good, walks were very enjoyable, sadly didn't get a chance to get to the beach near the hotel(Due to weather) but the east coast beaches are all very nice, dunbar is a lovely little town, would stay again at the dunmuir hotel.

Fix the toilet seat and put improved lighting in. The walls in the rooms were painted dark colour's, which made the room darker than it needed to be, lighting design was poor creating inadequate lighting. The dark colour made the room feel smaller too. The location of the hotel was fabulous, going for walks was safe and interesting and the locals were approachable- felt very safe indeed. Retail community was vibrant despite the age of the buildings ,welcoming and friendly. Comfortable walking distance from the hotel, likewise the acces to the rail.

Beautiful, spacious caravan; toys, books, games and DVDs available; fabulous welcome basket and drinks and snack left for our arrival; attentive, kind and welcoming host, straight forward check-in/check out through lock box; right next to play park; excellent facilities onsite- pool, nighttime entertainment, bar and restaurant, shop; fantastic activities nearby- foxlake adventures, leisure pool, Dunbar harbour, town and beach. Really fantastic break here and really appreciated the personal touches from the host, Deborah- thanks!

Breakfast was just great! Staff was really nice; we arrived earlier than expected, but Kate gave us a warm welcome and it was no problem. Beds were very comfortable. The dinner at the Restaurant was excellent! The hotel is also a good place for single travellers. The hotel is very close to the train station;it‘s just 20 minutes to Edinburgh by train. Dunbar is a historical location for Scotland. More people should visit the little town .

A return visit to this lovely hostel that we discovered last year. It is in a super location for getting out and about in Dunbar. A warm welcome by Anna and very comfortable accommodation. We particularly like the flexibility around the shared dining and kitchen facility (including the premium preserves at breakfast) and as an opportunity to meet and chat with interesting travellers. Great location to discover Dunbar and North Berwick. Lots of opportunities to cycle/walk along the John Muir Way. Easy to catch a train from Dunbar to get to Edinburgh too.
