Beautiful location and a great two bed cottage opposite Greystoke Castle with easy roadside parking. This break was part work and part leisure. It lovely and quiet, it was safe for Dot the cocker spaniel. There were great walks outside the front door and in nearby areas. We had a great 4 days and there are plenty of places to photograph too - lambs, fell ponies and landscape. The weather was beautiful for Spring and we wished we had stayed a little longer!

I broke a long journey from the north of Scotland to south east England at Beech House. Jill was extremely welcoming and helpful, and the house and my room was charming and comfortable. I had an excellent dinner at the local pub and a lovely walk around the beautiful village of Greystoke. It was a early start for me the next day and Jill very kindly packed up a breakfast bagel for my continuing journey.

Lovely barn conversion, good facilities and warm with the underfloor heating working well. Greystoke village is very well placed for the northern Lakes and has a good local shop plus a weekly fish and chip van!

The property was a lovely surprise. It was such a contrast to your typical holiday home or hotel. Lots of interesting things to check out and investigate.
