If you and your partner want to have a drink at the bar and forever be waiting for a member of staff to not be available, pay daft prices for a drink, sleep on 2 singles pushed up beds pushed up together when you pay for a double bed, get woken up by a knock on the door for housekeeping then pay £114 for a night all yours. Just don’t look at the pictures of the hotel you probably won’t even see half of it when you turn up. They use that for events otherwise your room is the other side of the building to see the rest. The room was comfortable and the bed was great.
The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area was great but small and crowded (we picked a busy time) The big disappointment was the food - Sunday evening meal was bad, very dried out mash, rock hard roast potatoes and a completely inedible Yorkshire pudding (obviously the last meal of the Sunday lunches). Nothing to like. Toilets dirty, room not that clean, food menu for evening meal poor and we were very ill after eating it. Charged £26.50 for breakfast when only had toast due to being ill all night.
