Busy city, but we always find it easy to get where we want to be, either by walking, bus or tram. Plenty to see and do from shopping to sightseeing. People are usually friendly, especially in the places we visit, always seem happy to help with questions etc. This visit was for a gig at the Bridgewater Hall, a new venue for us, what a wonderful place it is for music. I finally came across the Emmeline Pankhurst statue too in St Peter’s Square. We also spent some time in Aflecks, one of my favourite places to visit, which is a cornucopia of independent, eclectic shops, be prepared to spend some time wandering around, as there are many small businesses spread over the three floors.

Manchester is a large diverse city. Getting about is easy with trams and great bus services. It has everything you would expect from a large multicultural city and has the advantage of having parks and trees frequently scattered throughout the city.

There were a lot of run down buildings where we were near Deansgate. The tram/Metrolink is great we used it to get to the co-op live venue in the Etihad campus. We though for once we have had a trip here without rain (we’ve been twice before and both times it rained)/ but no, as soon as the concert finished and we left the building it was pouring down, by the time we got back to our apartment we were all soaked.

Went to the Halle orchestra concert in the Bridgewater Hall; excellent concert and the orchestra is definitely worth hearing. The city centre seemed remarkably clean and we liked the free circular bus route (no.1) from the station.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We visited Manchester as a family for a holiday and to attend a concert, and the hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a family. The location was excellent – very close to the city centre, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Breakfast had a great variety, satisfying both adults and children. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Manchester, especially families!

I really enjoyed my stay at Wilde Manchester City Centre. Things I appreciated: 1. the cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general; 2. the lovely city view (it's a high-rise building), 3. the fact that the room came with a kitchen, which was very convenient; 4. the location, right next to Manchester Central Library and the St.Peter's Square tram stop. 15 mins from Piccadilly train station, and 5 mins from Manchester Oxford Road station. Super nice! The staff was also friendly.

The bar next door is full of horrendous staff I’ve never experienced rudeness like it. I was shocked to be asked to move downstairs at 7pm as the bar was so quiet. I was not told 10 minutes before I was sat in the wrong place and this is a very busy city centre bar. At 6am next morning I could hear word for word the couple next door and the 2 screaming children this is a joke hotel and I’m ashamed you hold a place in Manchester you are a disgrace!
