Most liked the beautiful situation so close to the loch, also loved the isolation from other visitors. The little village of Killin was very useful for food and shopping, also pubs, the waterfalls there are fantastic. This time of year was extra beautiful with autumn colours just starting to show. We managed to visit Sterling Castle, also Oban, two good day trips about 1 - 1.5 hours from the cottage. Had lovely meals at The Ferryman, at the other end of the loch. In all a handy place to stay and great for 2 people who want peace and quiet.

Great trip but 6 nights was too long.

Great trip but 6 nights was too long. Would definitely stay for a bit shorter next time. I would take more board games or puzzles etc with as it was too lovely to be on your phone. I would also make sure to take more supplies as we ended up having to go to the nearest which was a co-op and it was expensive for what we had, so definitely take food with you. Make sure to have some comfy shoes for walking as well as you'll definitely want to explore. Great wee place, bed not so good.

This is a very rural location so know that it is at least a 50 minute drive to the A9, and about 25 minutes to Aberfeldy which has a few good food shops open until 21.00. It is exceptionally quiet which is what I was there for. It is better to be prepared knowing that if you need anything, it is a bit of a journey.

Nice clean site, beautiful views , very nice staff

Nice clean site, beautiful views , very nice staff Small lodge for 4 people, uncomfortable small sofa and very uncomfortable chairs, boathouse pub on site was expensive for food and drink, so didn't eat out, poor quality sound from the tv, very very steep hill to get to the site shop .

The cabin is situated on the North-West bank of Loch Tay and has a free view down to the lake, over the backs of a flock of sheep with (in early July) cute little lambs frolicking about. The morning sun can be enjoyed either from inside (table right at the window) or from the porch (table and chairs). We were especially happy to find a bird feeder placed right in front of the cabin and a poster and book that provided the necessary information for all the different native birds! Another excellent feature is the cabin's kitchen: we did not miss a single item and all the crockery, cutlery, and pans were of high quality. Equipped like this, cooking was a pleasure! We also appreciated the numerous heaters throughout the cabin, as although July, the days and nights were rather fresh. In wintertime, this will certainly be a snug and cosy accomodation.
