Only stayed for one night, walked around next day. Coast is nice, had a lovely breakfast on the beach. Highly recommend, Needles eye. Our stay wasn't long enough to review Newbiggin itself. The pub we stayed, the Queens head, was good, friendly staff, comfortable room.

Lovely place with traditional pubs and cafes.

Lovely place with traditional pubs and cafes. There is an Italian restaurant that you would probably walk past. Don’t! It is incredible. Chippy on the sea front. Clean uncrowded beach. Free parking. Easy to travel to different places along the coast.

Great food great service, also endeavour with splendid hot chocolate, the Front chippy with battered chips to die for and the Shaj which was very friendly and reasonably priced.

Whilst the town was a little tired it was the end of the season, so it was what we were expecting. There were plenty of eating places, our favourite being the Indian. with there only being a High Street every thing was easily accessible.

I booked a room with a sea view, and it did not disappoint! It was a delight to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of waves breaking on the shore. The breakfast was excellent: good quality ingredients, cooked well. If the hotel is serving food when you stay, I would say give it a try, based on the breakfast. Unfortunately, evening meals were not being served mid-week, when I stayed. There are a couple of restaurants in the village that are open most evenings, which are OK, but nothing exceptional.

I enjoyed the whole experience: the staff, the room and the location. What exceeded my expectations was that not only was the room better equipped than most hotels I have stayed in, but also had free WiFi, snacks and drinks at a nominal charge (I didn’t use this but it was very convenient to have these if needed), microwave and crockery, and a hot tub. The theme of the room was perfect for my grandson and do clean. Thank you

The caravan was immaculate, comfortable and charming. Our host was great: welcoming, pleasant and accommodating. There is a lovely seaside walk from the site into Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. The site restaurant was good (staff and food), although we were there 'off season' so I wonder whether it would be packed in the summer months.
