Superb room (modern furniture in retro style, amazing views from window, very clean), great location for a car trip, very good food and drinks at their restaurant (tried both breakfast and dinner). Really surprised by finding this gem!

A fantastic pub in a great little village. Good home made food in a lovely atmosphere. We have stayed here a couple of times now and would have stayed there more often if we could have got a room but it always seems to be fully booked when we want to go. The management and staff are hands on and so friendly and helpful. The locals are amazing. You can't walk around the beach or village without everyone saying hello. I would love to live here. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfy. There is plenty of tea & coffee in the rooms. There are several areas to sit and eat or just have a drink in the pub plus plenty of outside seating and tables. They have parking in front of the pub plus a carpark at the side. It's a great place to explore the surrounding areas or just to go walking locally. I love sitting down on the beach watching the sun set. Its so peaceful.

    Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a must- wear your swimwear if you fancy a dip- I will be going back to do that in future! Windemere was great despite the rain, plenty to do and enjoy. Local area of rolling fields is irresistible- take walking boots! Trungs Chinese takeaway in Bolton-Le-Sands was delicious and a quick outing to collect. Ambleside Inn on our day out at the lakes was delicious!

    Fantastic place to use as a base, quiet village but on main...

    Fantastic place to use as a base, quiet village but on main route link to Morcombe, Windemere, lake district and Scotland. We visited loads of places of interest as well as our main focus, Cartmel races. Over Kellet also has a pub in walking distance with a friendly landlord who serves amazing food. Definitely recommend a stay in the village. Also a mile away from Capernwray Quarry dive site so perfect for scuba divers!
