St Mawes was a lovely village with a nice blend of shops, pubs and hotels. Great views and a dog friendly harbour beach. We walked around St Mawes, driving not so easy. The whole area is beautiful

Great views and very central Photos attached show views from the upper floors unloaded luggage and parking weren't an issue for us but would be for someone without good mobility but then the cottage wouldn't suit someone with impaired mobility No parking - nowhere to unload luggage

A charming village with all the facilities for an excellent beach-style holiday, or as a base to explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with its beaches and lovely coastal/country walks. A short pedestrian ferry ride to Falmouth or onwards to Truro.

Lovely area but as it is on a peninsular long drive to get anywhere else. Ferry to Falmouth very convenient tho. Huge council car park nearby and we bought a 7 day ticket for £35. Most places under staffed in June 2024. We were on b&b in hotel but options for eating elsewhere limited and expensive. But local fish and chips brilliant.

Excellent place to stay and in easy reach and/or driveable distance to features such as tropical gardens and a nice exploratory walk through the wooded gardens leading to the beach. Also. a visit to the only city in Cornwalll, Truro was interesting with many features. One visit we made was to to a Gold Mine Centre called Togus and free of charge (no entry fee!) not far from Truro

The staff were very friendly. Booking.com didn't confirm our reservation with the hotel and we had to wait until 3am to get a room. Sleeping in the cold wasn't pleasant. The staff made it better by being caring and helpful.
