What a lovely place my mate and I shared a twin room it was spacious and very clean great pressure in the shower. We loved the bar downstairs really nice there is another bar attached to the building around the corner but I preferred the one in the main hotel. Breakfast was lovely and made to order I would highly recommend the mount for a couple of nights

I would love to say this place is horrid so as to allow us to be selfish but I can’t. It is truly a place to cherish. Both Charlotte and Josh are so welcoming, the cottage is immaculate, the setting bliss, the tranquility astounding. As you turn into the drive you are met by nature, then as you continue you see the farm in all its majesty.

The interior is lovely. Especially the shower is spacey and luxurious. The place provided all things handy like kitchen supplies, cleaning utensils, enough toilet paper and a laundry room. Didn't have to bring or by anything extra. The fenced in garden was also wonderful for our dog. She had a lot of room to roam around and play.

We had a fabulous stay at the Talbot. It is a beautifully decorated hotel with a real country feel to it. Very personable friendly staff. A special mention to Angus and Jack for looking after us so well. we had a delicious meal in the bar. All of our food was excellent. The hotel is in the heart of Malton which is a lovely little town. plenty of little shops and coffee shops / restaurants.

    The reason for the trip was to visit friends near Castle Howard, Scagglethorpe is easily accessible from major roads but not on one. Chose the venue for the availability of evening meals and was well satisfied
