For starters, this wasn't our first rodeo at Clementines. Over the past couple of years, I must've called - either with my son or partner - some 4/5 times. Rooms exquisite, staff and welcome exemplary, an ambience you won't find anywhere else in York. The decor is classic yet contemporary, amazing beds, wonderful bathrooms, AND - for the first time yet - we had breakfast. Oh my life, what've I been spending my life doing?? Superb spread, all seemingly local produce, and JUST the right amount of food to set you off on your day. Plus, it snowed over Saturday night, so we woke to a deep blanket of the white stuff. Lovely.

The best hotel I have ever stayed. The staff was attentive and kind, the room was clean, classy and very comfortable, the pantry was lovely and most of all - the breakfast was heavenly.

Really nice comfortable stay. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a clean, modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of options provided to make yourself a cuppa which was appreciated. Easy self check in and self check out. Lovely communicative host. A few continental breakfast items available in the room - please note the cafe downstairs (independent from the guesthouse) has pretty limited hours so early risers need not plan to eat breakfast there

Great location for people who are planning to get to know...

Great location for people who are planning to get to know Yorkshire by car. Stayed in Strensall but travelled around. Spent 2 days in York (15 min drive), one day in the Dales (Fountain cathedral) and one in the Moors and Scarsborough. Great starting point for trips. Had dinners at local pubs in Strensall. Bought food in local Tesco.
