The property was perfect, my daughter and I enjoyed every moment we were there and the hosts were excellent, they were always available should we need anything, not that we did, and left us to enjoy our stay which we definitely did.

Ticehurst is like visiting another world. It is a quirky and relaxing with interesting art shops and the most amazing cafe called 'The Greedy Goat'. The owner is just lovely and the food was the best and great value. Definitely recommend visiting Ticehurst. The residents are so friendly.

Ticehurst has a wonderful pub called The Bell which serves delicious food. The village is near to many attractions such as Pashley Manor, Bedgebury Pinetum, Scotney Castle, All Saints church at Tudeley with Marc Chagall windows, Sissingshurst etc etc The countryside round about is beautiful as it lies within the Weald.

The location of the Barn was ideal for us as we were visiting Sarah Raven’s Perch Hill Garden which is nearby. We also visited Bateman’s and Sissinghurst and re connected with old friends from university for some of our outings. A wonderful base for our little tour with free parking and a ten minute stroll to a lovely village pub which served excellent food. Will definitely return to explore more super gardens and historic houses and castles.

It was absolutely wonderful staying at Huntley's Lodge and Rachel was a fantastic host. The house was clean, comfy, quiet, and most of all it was cosy and homely. It has all the facilities you need for a couple of nights get away from the stress of every day life. The bed was comfy, the place was warm, and some lovely touches around like cute books and a working guitar and piano. Ticehurst itself was lovely, and would recommend eating at The Bell, which was only a short drive away. Really hope to return again.

There was very good choice at breakfast with the full English option individually cooked. There is a good choice of dinner menu, either served as a la carte in the restaurant, or less formal options in The Orangery. All the staff very friendly and accommodating and there was a very cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, both in the hotel and golf pro shop.

Such thoughtfulness - there are so many things provided - including fresh food - that make a stay away from home so much easier. The location is great for walking into Ticehurst and the hosts were absolutely charming. Christmas decorations were a lovely touch
