This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A minor issue with the curtains when we were shown to our room was dealt with by the next day. And,yes, you get shown to your room - a courtesy often lacking in hotels these days! The room (double with a private terrace) Was clean and comfortable, no noise from other rooms. Lovely rain-shower!
