I arrived ?2 hours before check in and I was allowed to have my room. The lady carried my heavy suitcase upstairs to my room. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable and the staff provided home baked cookies. The building is very old and has history to it with the rooms being named after famous historical figures from the area.

Beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. The staff were really helpful and nice. We spent a magical weekend in the castle, with its stained windows, staircases, and fireplaces. We loved the breakfasts a lot. The surrounding grounds were perfect for relaxing walks.

    This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.

    We loved the instant warm welcome, especially from the girls serving behind the bar who are a credit to the hotel. The hotel is beautiful with an old country house feel to it with very comfortable furnishings. Located in a picturesque and quiet village but easily located just off the A47/A1. Our room was fabulous and spacious, bed was super comfy and the bath robes were a bonus luxury. The service and food are first class and delicious. We will definitely be returning, highly recommended.

    Attended a wedding at the hotel and stayed overnight. Excellent service and wonderful breakfast using locally sourced products. Big makeover not yet completed but did not affect us in any way
