Myself and my boyfriend came to the Pentland Shepherd Huts to celebrate our anniversary and we had the best time! The hut was extremely clean and comfortable, absolutely perfect for a romantic weekend. It is an amazing location as it didn't take us too long to get into Edinburgh but we also weren't too far from lovely little towns such as Peebles. Lyn was great with communicating and we even got to meet their pygmy goats and shetland ponies, definitely a highlight of the trip! The hot tub was also heated for our arrival which was a great way to settle into our weekend. Would definitely recommend to other couples or friends who want a cosy weekend away!

Just a post of thanking David and Louisa for a warm welcome, recommendations and a breakfast to die for! The house and views of the countryside are better than pictures can tell. Lots of things to do around, hillwalking, foraging, very short drive to many other interesting places or towns.

The Gordon Arms is a perfect place for a comfortable, cosy stay - not far from Edinburgh. It's set in the charming town of West Linton (replete with a well-stocked Co-op), and we found both the staff and town to be very welcoming during our stay. The room was large, clean, and comfortable; with a big, cosy bed and a simple-but well-kept en-suite. The staff were fab, and the pub downstairs was buzzing in the evening. We especially felt as though it was excellent value for money.
