I have stayed in Rodos Star Hotel together with my daughters, 19 and 13. We really enjoyed our stay not just that the food was delicious and the staff polite but also because of the overall feeling in the hotel. You feel like you are at home, the guests were friendly and the vibe was positive. The beach is about 2 km so if you are not prepare to climb the heel than rent a car is a beter option. We came back very happy and with great memories from our holiday in Rodos.

    We were in the Rodos Star Hotel which was up a steep hill and not very close to anything or the Village which was ok but not much to offer. Cost 10.50 euros to get there and very difficult to get a cab back and too far to walk.

    We had a truly wonderful stay at Arfna Villas.

    We had a truly wonderful stay at Arfna Villas. The villa is modern, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The place was extremely clean and well maintained, which made us feel at home right away. The hosts were amazing, very kind and helpful. They even allowed us to check in early and check out late without any extra charge, which we really appreciated. The villa is located a bit outside of the main town and other nearby areas, so it’s best suited if you rent a car to get around easily. For us this wasn’t a problem and it added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the villa exceeded our expectations and we would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rhodes.

    The beach is ok. It is pretty rocky. Still nice. Not much else to do around, so I booked a few tours. The supermarket is a long walk away, especially in the heat, so if you are planning on food shopping and don't drive it's not that easy. If you drive you should be fine. The locarion is better if you rent a car. Not that many places to eat, just a few. There is a small convenience store that sells water and a few basic products. Not really fruits or vegetables etc.

    We were purposefully looking for a quieter destination to take a break from the big city we live in. I liked that even in the town of Afandou, it wasn't too crowded. Excellent bus connections to other cities, e.g. Rhodes, Lindos . .

    The walk to the beach is quite far, so I recommend renting a car right away. There are plenty of restaurants, but not too many shops—still, it was enough. Afandou is a city of mopeds; I’ve never seen so many anywhere else. The center of Rhodes is simply amazing, with countless shops and many restaurants. It felt like life continued throughout the night. The most delicious meat was in the cheapest café.

    Afantou was a good place to explore the east coast from - very accessible to Rhodes Town and Lindos and all places in-between. Everyone was friendly. We ate at tavernas in the square by the school - both excellent. We found the streets of Afantou quite muddly, but soon got used to them - and it added to the charm of the place. You definitely would benefit from having a car so that you can access the various wonderful beaches and explore great places inland. What a wonderful island!

    We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in Rhodes with our children. The house is full of soul — every detail reflects authentic style and care. It feels like a true home, not just a holiday rental. The hospitality of Marios and his farther was absolutely perfect. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always ready to help, making us feel truly welcome. We’re leaving with warm memories and lots of gratitude. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special, family-friendly place to stay in Rhodes!

    Our host Lefteris went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant and special! After we accidentally went to the wrong place after our arrival on rhode island, he picked us up in his car - super friendly! The apartment is fully equipped for cooking and he even left us some food in the fridge. The beautiful beach is just a short walk away and there are two bus stops just around the corner going to Lindos and Rhodes. We felt very welcome and would definitely come back!!

    We felt really welcome from the start — the hosts were super friendly and always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the whole place had a stylish, well-kept vibe. Our room was clean, comfy, and very nice to stay in. The location was also very convenient, close to the airport and easily accessible to nearby towns and Rhodes city by car. Despite being near a main road, the property was pleasantly quiet.
