At the time of our visit ( 29th Sept - 7th Oct 2025 ) the place was simply perfect, warm / hot sunny days and not overcrowded anywhere. We had a blissful stay and enjoyed the short walks in and out of town ... We also loved the little local 'chugga chug' train round all the bays, fabulous idea and always on time ! I particularly enjoyed feeding all the local cats every evening whilst hubby sat with a glass of wine at a nearby cafe / bar plenty of little supermarkets everywhere, a smaller but ample choice of places to eat, and all of the little bays in Balion were really nice 👍♥️Guest review byMartinGermany - 10.0

This is quite an expensive area to stay in, with no chain supermarkets nearby and fully privatized beaches. However, the surroundings are extremely beautiful. There’s a bakery-coffee shop that’s great for local baked goods and budget-friendly coffees and sandwiches. Bali is a nice place in general - big enough to offer variety of good restaurants, sandy beaches with minimal waves, water sports and other activities (quad tours, day trips); small enough not to feel like in a big city. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and attentive, the hotel pool was perfect for us and really enjoyable for our little one, and the room was very comfortable, clean and modern with a very good shower. We found the location was really ideal for Bali, right in the centre, walking distance to all of the beaches and restaurants but also peaceful because there are no bars and restaurants next door.
