One of the most amazing places.

One of the most amazing places. Beaches are wide and long with lot of place for finding a secluded corner just for yourself, sea is warm and beautiful with alluring colours and views are breathtaking. We loved Kato Nissi beach and Lefki and enjoyed snorkelling over ancient Pavlipetra city. The village of Elafonisos is vivid with lot of tavernas and places for enjoyable evenings. Perfect holiday spot. Anywhere you sit you’ll get good food and good service. Moving around the island is easy, but you’ll need a car. Getting to Elafonisos is also easy with ferries going from Pounta every 30 minutes with costs of 16 EUR for 2 adults and a vehicle.

Ideal place for a short (3-4 days) holiday. Beautiful beaches (although when it is windy there are waves), and lots of tavernas and fish restaurants in the port. To get there is a 4.5 hours drive from Athens to Pounta, and a 15 mins ferry ride from Pounta to Elafonisos with several ferries crossing every 30 mins. Small Simos beach is the best, and you can find very spaceous umbrellas but pricey (50-60 euros for 3 persons)

We just returned from another wonderful 9-day trip to Elafonisos — a place we visit every year and never get tired of. The island remains one of Greece’s true hidden gems, with incredible beaches like Simos and Panagia, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. We always make a point to visit outside the peak months of July and August, when the island is quieter and even more enjoyable. Everything is within easy reach — great tavernas, cafés, and small shops — and the pace of life is exactly what we need to unwind. Even after so many visits, Elafonisos continues to be our go-to destination for a relaxing and refreshing escape.

Elafonisos is a quaint island with a nice selectin of shops, local artists, great restaurants, and several beautiful beaches. We spent most of our two full days at Simi Beach during the day and in the little town in the morning and evening, but I wish we had stayed two more days and spent more time at the other beaches. I would have also liked to drive around the entire island to see it, which w will definitely do next time. Definitely worth seeing!

A very chill island with crystal clear waters! Lovely for families and all. Our favourite beach is Agia Panaia. Having a car on the island was great to travel out to Simos, great water activities there. We found most eateries lovely.

The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were offered a choice of rooms on arrival and the one we chose had a very comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom, a lovely terrace where we could sit and admire the view of the sea, as well as a safe and a good- sized fridge. Beach towels are supplied for when you want to go to one of the beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel was within ten minutes' walk of the town and port which meant we could leave the car in the evening when we went into town for dinner and drinks.

The owners were very welcoming, replenishing a basket of goodies every day. The room was clean, cleaned daily, very spacious, equipped with all the necessary utilities, owners even provided a baby bed for our little one. Room was also equipped with an a/c unit, but temperature was great, so we fidn't use it. The view was amazing, see photo. Location is great, quiet but still very close to the town and the nicest beaches of the island. Our stay was great and we're very thankful to the owners.

Very nice place with friendly and helpful hosts. Lokal beach is on walking distance about 500m and others famous beaches are about 4 or 5 minutes driving. Parking place in front of the house and the nearest market and restorans about 3 - 4 minutes walking. Apatment was so clear and the kitchen was equipped very well. Breskfast is served in the boxes but it was plentiful and varied every day.

Lisa is a great host, very kind and helpful. Free umbrellas for the beach. Very close to restaurants and bakery, you can go out at night without the car, just walking ten minutes. The room was clean, air conditioning, and small breakfast included. Beautiful view from the balcony. We will definitely stay here again in our next trip to elafonisos. Highly recommend.
