Lixouri is an amazing little town with many, many options...
Lixouri is an amazing little town with many, many options for food, drinks, entertainment, and sightseeing! Our favourite food was the moussaka at Akrogiáli and the freddo espresso from literally anywhere (but especially Cafe Pero). There is a bus service/station so you can get to other nearby towns, Xi beach, for £2. The ferry to Argostoli is £3pp and is every 20ish minutes late into the night. We didn't have a car so it was hard to get around, but we found plenty to do within walking distance. There is a taxi service in Lixouri (prices vary a few € each time) which was good after dark - because walking back to our hotel in the dark was a bit scary!
