We go there a day or two early arriving from Athens to board our cruise ship. Piraeus is a lovely city. Almost next door is a new building with a bar looking out over the harbour. We flow in two days before sailing out for our cruise.
We flow in two days before sailing out for our cruise. We planned the hop on hop off bus from Piraeus to Athens. Which the first day we spent the entire day in Athens. Visited all the highlights of Athens by taking the HOHO BUS. The tour started at 8:30 am ended at 5:30 pm. Then the second day we walked Piraeus on foots which is a beautiful city, lots to see. We shopped and ate at a few of the restaurants, Went to the marina and and sat and enjoyed the relaxing vibes. Tip- make sure you wear comfortable shoes at all time, due to the hills, cobblestone street, and uneven pave, dress in breathable clothing. This was a most comfortable stay. The place was very clean and well appointed. And for all you knitters There’s shop across the street.. Easy walk to a bustling Marina Zeas. Great access to a bakery and grocery store. A visit to the Piraeus Archaeological Museum was top of our list. The hotel is a small family run business and is a small hotel, like many if Europe but it was a friendly team, accommodating of any extra requests made and gave us lots of local dining info.
