Our stay at this apartment was simply amazing! The place was spotless, very safe, and had everything we could possibly need. The host truly thought of everything the apartment was not only fully equipped with all kitchen essentials (including coffee machine), but also had some pharmacy items provided, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel really taken care of. When we arrived, we were greeted with a freshly baked cake, which was such a lovely surprise. And the next morning, we woke up to find tyropita (cheese pie) from the host waiting for us ! :) The location is honestly the best you can ask for in Milos. It’s close to everything by car and within walking distance from Plaka, which made exploring so easy. Plus, there’s a big parking area right opposite the apartment ,super convenient! The hospitality and attention to detail here were outstanding. We felt completely comfortable, welcome, and cared for throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area ,I would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is in a sophisticated Cycladic style. Very elegant and Super super clean. It has a terrace with an amazing view at every hour of the day. Beautiful and peaceful. The manager and the staff are very helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

Very unique, fun, and comfortable! It's actually a windmill converted into a cozy and comfortable place to stay. The hosts shared homemade cakes with us as well:) I would strongly recommend for anyone who is looking for this sort of experience.

We cannot recommend Solus Suites more. The property is new, modern and clean. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a beautiful private pool area. The rooms are refreshed daily to a great standard. Maria and the team go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We asked if it was possible to assist with ATV hire and one was delivered within half an hour! They also helped my husband order flowers for my birthday. The breakfast included is so generous and they went out of their way to make me a vegan option every day. The location is away from town centre but ATV is easy and cheap and gets you there in 5 mins (plus essential to see best parts of the island). Only a few minutes from Sarakiniko too. If you are coming to Milos, we couldn’t recommend more :)

    Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

    Excellent location in Placka.

    Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

    Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below...

    Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

    Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to...

    Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

    This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.

    This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more. No nearby local shops. Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

    The hotel boasts a unique view. From the terrace you can enjoy the marvellous view of the sea and the nearby islands. Unbeatable. The owners of the hotel also run a small bar, so it's never been easier to enjoy a delicious drink at sunset. Some tourists come to this bar especially for the sunset. However, the bar is not loud or disturbing at all. The hosts are easy to contact and always respond quickly. The rooms are very large and spacious.

    The studio is spacious and beautifully designed in Greek style. The staff, especially Elena, was very helpful and friendly. She helped us with booking a boat and everything we needed during our stay. The car park is a few hundred meters down hill but they helped us move the luggages. The location is perfect. Stunning sunset view. The host is very thoughtful providing plenty of water and drinks in the room every day.

    We had the most wonderful stay at Plaka suites, made only better by how lovely Dimitris (the owner) is, who was there whenever we needed him and provided amazing tips for Milos. The views are the best in Plaka, the apartment is beautiful and comfortable - we would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you’re on the fence about booking, just go for it - it was our favourite place we stayed in Greece.
