Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and...

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants. It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari. It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional...

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

Great quiet location in amongst the olive trees but also near to the beach, with the sea viaoble from the house and garden. Very comfortable house, super comfortable bed, and all that is needed for a stay, in the very nicely furnished house. Beautiful garden area with lots of tables and chairs and shade. Tavernas nearby, and Plomari is also nearby if you want something busier. Hosts were super helpful and went out of their way to accommodate. Will definitely be back!

Everything you need for a perfect holiday in Lesvos. Probably the best beach on the island is literally at your doorstep with all the tavernas in Plomari nearby (including the ouzo museums). For me Maria made our stay extra special. She is the best host I have come across in Greece, always smiling and willing to have a chat and offer advice. I will definitely stay again next time in Lesvos.

After a last minute decision to head to another area in Lesvos we booked Katerina’s apartment just outside of Plomari, we were so glad we did. The location was great, easy walking distance to beach and mini marts. A great spot to stay when exploring this part of the island. The room was clean and comfortable and had an amazing view. Would definitely be back!

This hotel is the best hotel in the area. The rooms are fully equipped with all the necessary equipments. Its prime location, just a short walk from the beach. The owners are incredibly helpful. I will definitely come again.
