Feels that it was recently renovated, in good condition. Super clean. Fridge. Parking is right outside of the residence. Felt safe. Beautiful location, close proximity to Dimitsana. Quiet taverna on ground floor, good food (pity they don't serve enough traditional foods, because seems many of the visitors are tourists). Great mattress, but squeaky bed frame. Kind owners.

This is a unique getaway in the heart of the mountains of the Peloponnese's Arkadia region. Elliniko is a charmful village seemed to be taken out of a fairytale. Lefteris's careful care of the place is evident in every corner of the place, him and his family's love for their place promised us a joyful stay. Lefteris's tips about the area, things to do, are priceless. Great experience I can recommend without hesitation. Hope to be back one day.

We had a fantastic stay at Mpelleiko. Our host Nena was the best we have ever had, and we are very well travelled. We stayed at the property the beginning of October and the weather was perfect for hiking but the nights cool enough for a jacket. Nena met us in town so we could follow her to her property and show us where to park. Our room had everything we could possibly want even a torch for walking down to the town to eat at night. It is a wonderful property built in the 1600's and the garden outside is beautiful. I had a head cold when we arrived so Nena made me a drink from her grandmother's recipe to help the symptoms. Breakfast was amazing it was was home made from local produce and from her own garden. Bread was stone milled and home made it really was superb, the views from the breakfast room were stunning We wanted to do a days hike from Stemnitsa to Dimitsana so Nena sat down with us and explained the route, advised us which way to go and said she would call a taxi for us when we got to Dimitsana and also gave us a map to use. Towards the end of the walk the signs disappeared so we called Nena and she talked us through till we got back on the trail. Walking down into the town for dinner in the evening meant navigating quite a few stairs, it took less than 10 mins and we were happy to do that, but you could always drive instead and it would only take a few minutes. Stemnitsa has limited restaurant options, we ate at the pub both evenings, the meals were tasty and enormous. Dimitsana has more eating options but we were pleased we stayed in Stemnitsa as it is small, quaint and beautiful, we really loved our stay at Mpelleiko with our wonderful host
