Omis has everything you need for the goid rest. Its not very popular like Makarska and the prices are lower and more acceptable. Also there is a market in the center, where you can buy tasty fruits. We went two years ago and really liked it, which is why we went back. But in the meantime, I think it's gotten more popular and it was stuffed with tourists. If you've never been to Croatia, you'll probably find it delightful. If you have already explored quieter places off the beaten path, you might find it too touristy and crowded. The mountain, river and ocean view from the balcony and bedroom windows is stunning. The location was perfect for a short stroll into town, or to the river, beach, or the start of Starigrad Fortress hike. The carpark was convenient with plenty of parking just a 2min walk from the apartment. Apartment building was quiet, residents very friendly, and the elevator was a big win. Our hostess quickly greeted us and showed us to our room. She also made sure we had an easy parking spot too. The room was all that we expected with a huge balcony, perfect for unwinding after our long journey.
