We flew overnight from Boston, Massachusetts and the hotel had our room ready early. We really appreciated that. The staff was outstanding in every area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. After walking around the city center, we came back to the hotel and enjoyed a late. snack and drink. One night we were too tired to go out so we ate dinner in the hotel and it was delicious and the service was great. The breakfast service was excellent.

The room was very clean, The staff were so friendly, when we had a problem in our room they suggested to move us to a different room or help immediately even though it was late at night. The location is very good, just about 5 minutes from the main street, but it was very quiet! For whoever it matters - the room has a full body mirror

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery & Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green spaces of any European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish vacation, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, an independent apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

    Dublin is a wonderful city.

Dublin is a wonderful city. We enjoyed our tour guide of Trinity College and Library and the Book of Kells, it was awesome! Also the tour of the Jennie Johnson ship parked outside and the Irish Immigrant museum were excellent! We enjoyed a local pub Divette's and felt welcomed! Great music our last night! We had the best Irish beef stew! We had a wonderful day tour to Kilkenny. Wish we had more time in the central and rural parts of Ireland! Next visit!

Very easy to get around in Dublin. The hotel we stayed at was in walking distance to Trinity College. Loved our walking tours, guides were terrific, full of information. The museums we visited were great, some were free. Pubs were great, good food, fun.

    Dublin is over-touristed.

Dublin is over-touristed. It's a decent place, but it feels like it was a bit run down, and then newly reinvigorated. But there are not really strong tourist draws other than the pubs which are crazy crowded and gimmicky. I saw a dozen tourist swag shops too. Guiness tour was ok but expensive and a long walk. Good food at decent prices was hard to find, and we felt ripped off a bit by some restaurants. I wouldn't go back there.

Dublin was the worst of my travel experiences.

Dublin was the worst of my travel experiences. The accommodations were terrible, and the basic amenities were so poor, beyond the price, that I was shocked. I had to cancel my contract with great difficulty and spent several days in several hotels. The flight to Dublin was constantly delayed, disrupting my itinerary, and it was a total disappointment.

We parked the car and left it for 3 nights and walked or used buses / trams. Driving is slow and like many cities confusing for visitors. Dublin is quite expensive (over 30 euros for 4 drinks in a pub, 8+euros for a pint of Guinness) and eating out can add up quickly. Buses and trams a couple of euros per adult ride. The city centre is mostly walkable and some streets are traffic free anyway. Guinness Storehouse is very popular (surprise!) so book online for a timed entry before you go as it makes it easier to enter. We enjoyed it, about 2 hours or so and the included drink doesn't have to be Guinness, but it tastes good there. Book of Kells / Trinity College Library has timed entry tickets also and is also a couple of hours if you read a lot of the museum and Library info stuff. And you can walk around the College grounds. National Museum of Ireland maybe not worth the effort unless its contents are your specialism.

Our Clayton Cardiff lane hotel stay in Dublin was comfortable & pleasant. It was exceptionally clean & we were able to use the leisure facilities, Pool. Jacuzzi & Sauna . The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb . The hotel is very convenient to 3 Arena where we attended the recent concert and it's not far out from the City Centre. I've stayed with Clayton several times and would stay again. I highly recommend this Hotel.

It was expensive considering it’s €17 Cab fare each way to the city. (Approximately 12-15 mins in car to city centre) very clean and comfortable though. Also cleaners were there dead on 11am and practically escorted us out the door, being in Ireland you would expect them to be a little friendlier, they barely said hi to us but walked out to lock the door after us, I found that strange for such a renowned friendly City such as Dublin.

Great stay in a cosy district. Clean hotel, fancy terrace on rooftop and much more. You can cook in big shared kitchens if yours in the apartment is too small for you. You can also enjoy the time in a living room located on each floor. Very kind and communicative personnel, and a good, cheap connection to city centre. Nothing more is required. I recommend this place for everyone visiting Dublin.
