Moorings by the Sea is an exceptional choice for a family holiday! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our wonderful hostess, who kindly informed us in advance about upcoming roadworks that would limit access to the property. This thoughtful communication was greatly appreciated and made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The house itself is immaculate and well-maintained, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured we had restful nights. The location is simply perfect—just a 20-minute walk to the vibrant Tramore strip and a mere 10 minutes to the town center. Plus, having a bus stop right outside the door made exploring Waterford city a breeze, with buses running every 30 minutes. Overall, I would give Moorings by the Sea a well-deserved 5-star rating! Lovely town placed by the sea. Beautiful beach. Very nice Doneraile walk by the clifs. In future we will go there again. There is a fun park by the beach, good for family visit. You can find many cafe and small bars, places where serving fish and chips, churros etc or Aldi stor very near to the beach. There is a big free car park and toilets by the beach. We were there on the last weekend of the summer season...
We were there on the last weekend of the summer season before the amusement park was scheduled to shut down so there were still lots of people and activities available. Plenty of restaurants and pubs. The beach is spacious but rocky and there are lots of rails to hike as well as just walking on the paths around town. Tramore is a beautiful town with something in it for people of all ages and tastes, scenic drives and walkways and also the little funfair and indoor swimming pool. There are a great selection of eateries and bars also to whet one's appetite. The beach is lovely, lots of space, it rarely feels crowded.
