We were there for a couple of weeks to get some dental work done, so longer than we would normally stay. The Ghandi museum is interesting, but apart from that there is was not too much of interest, except if the cricket is on! Some good shopping, and easy to get around, as it is a smaller city. It is a good stopover on the way to Gir National park area, but probably 1-2 nights would be sufficient. Rajkot has grown exponentially in the last decade and it is quickly catching up with major cities, however, there is still some way to go, for example, there is Uber service but it is not very popular and hence still easier to hail a rickshaw. Good city.
Good city. But airport is small and needs a proper taxi service. Taxi-men exploit the new faces. Unfortunately it is the same story in most of cities. It was raining so they quoted 1500/- INR for 15 km. I tried Uber which showed Rs.350 for same destination. Finally Driver took Rs 600/- This is certainly not professional and I found it unsuitable for Mr Clean's own state. Area of Improvement. Head Strong and inefficient front office staff. Can do better with selecting experienced staff than novices. The bath linen needs replacement badly. Room service has a long way to go,one tea took 3 reminder and 55 minutes. Breakfast - Innovative in culinary treats should be reasonable. Whoever heard of a batata paua(local meal) with Capsicum ? Wada Sambar - quality of wada on both days of my stay was below par. We were at SAYAJI Rajkot in the return trip from Somanth and our next station was Vadodara so for night stay I booked SAYAJI Rajkot, and this Accomodation i booked was superbly beautiful, its ambience was lovely and we having lots of options for Breakfast in the morning before check-out... i recommend this property to stay in RAJKOT which is cost effective too...Guest review byPanchal
