Absolutely stunning location, and great hosts! We were so impressed. Plus, my boyfriend thought it was so perfect, he proposed here! Absolutely picturesque views, and incredibly classy and cozy. Plenty of lamps and blankets to keep you comfortable.

The igloo was very nice and spacious enough for us and our bags. The common area is cozy and very clean, with a well equipped kitchen. The host waited for us to show us around (even though we arrived late) and called to make sure we weren't lost. The blankets and heaters kept the igloo nice and warm.

I loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.
